| When a Swiss interior designer, who suffered a back injury after an accident, could not find comfort or relief in chairs similar to Sky Chairs, Air Chairs, and even hammocks, she created the Island Chair to ease her pain. Her goal was to achieve the maximum support of the entire body – spine, neck, rear end, and legs - without any pressure points, and by taking the weight and strain away from the spinal cord. The support by the Island Chair was instrumental in accelerating her healing, which amazed her chiropractor. After her recovery, she decided to make the Island Chair available to the public. Because the Island Chair has been designed, manufactured, and tested on many back pain sufferers with SUCCESS, it has given relief to many people around the world. |
